2. The Drainage
This is thought to be a drainage system to stop rainwater damaging the buildings made of mud, mainly towers. It is half a metre below the surface, 0.6 metres deep, made of stones and flat slabs and covered with stone slabs. It runs across the settlement for 18 metres, almost touching the northern tower and drains off about 20 metres outside.
