The Lacetans
The heart of the Lacetan territory corresponds to the district of Bages, yet it also extended into Anoia, Solsonès and Segarra.
The Lacetans formed settlements in the central regions of Catalonia, bordering the Bergistans to the north, the Ausetans and Laietans to the east, the Cessetans to the south and the Ilergetes to the west. The Lacetan tribe were famous for the strong resistance they put up to the Roman Conquest of Iberia, fighting against it in alliance with other Iberian peoples such as the Ausetans or the Ilergets.
