A stroll through archaeology

A stroll through archaeology takes a look at history and the current view of the uses of the archaeological heritage in the Girona regions. The exhibition is part of the “Protecting and Disseminating Archaeological Heritage. Conceptualisations and Current Uses of Archaeological Heritage”, the main objective of which is to research the different concepts and uses of the archaeological heritage that has reached us today.
The study is focused on comparing diverse approaches that govern the valuing of the archaeological heritage in an area, the north-east of the Iberian Peninsula, in which the protection and dissemination of archaeology is found in emblematic places such as Empúries, as well as in places in which the protection and dissemination of material remains from the past has not occurred until very recently.
Organizes: Institut Català per a la Recerca del Patrimoni Cultural and MAC Empúries, with the support of City Council of L'Escala and Iberia Graeca.
