Archeomed

ArcheoMed is an European project which is part of the Interreg Program IIIB MEDOCC. The major partners are eleven public institutions from seven countries of the Mediterraneanen. Its main task is the development of initiatives and joint efforts for the enhancement of Maritime and Underwater Heritage of the Mediterranean.

The project works in the Route of Maritime Archaeological Heritage from Spain and Portugal. Its main objectives are:

• Sensitize the public and institutions about the importance of Maritime and Underwater Archaeological Heritage to help protect spot and their conservation and recovery.

• Create a network between the regions and stable collaboration between specialized centres, museums, archaeological parks and other infrastructures to give a historical overview of the Mediterranean.

• Training young teachers and professionals
