Practical Information

If you are visiting Barcelona, come to the Parc de Montjuïc, called de Magic Mountain of Barcelona and cosidered one of the best green places in the city. You will find the Archaeological Museum of Catalonia, a place of memory that invites you to discover our earliest history and enjoy the best archaeological pieces found in Catalonia and its environment. All in a relaxing space where we respected the architecture of one of the ancient palaces of the International Exhibition of 1929, the Palace of Graphic Arts.

Once you have visited to the Archaeological Museum you can walk through Poble-Sec, one of the most bohemian neighborhoods in the city, multicultural and full of artists. You will enjoy the lifelong wineries or go "tapas" by Blai street terraces.

Opening Hours

From Tuesday to Saturday: 9.30 am - 7 pm
Sundays and holidays: 10 am - 2.30 pm
Closed on Mondays throughout the year

Days and January 1 and 6, December 25 and 26.

Admission Prices

Entrance normal: € 5.5

Reduced: 4.5€
People 65 years or more, people under 25, pensioners, family (2 adults and one child or more) and persons with disability certificate

Reduced admission special: 3.0€ 
Groups of students with teacher who have reservation in monuments and sites between May 1 and August 31, person having the large family card or parent .

Free Admission: 0€
People under the age of 8 years, unemployed, members of ICOM ( International Council and Museums) and ICOMOS ( International Council of Monuments ), members of the Association of Museum of Catalonia , duly certified, people of formal education teachers , duly accredited, groups of students with teacher who have made a reservation, last Tuesday of each month between October and June.

February 12 (Santa Eulàlia), April 23 (Sant Jordi), May 18 (International museums), September 11 (Diada Nacional de Catalunya) and September 24 (Mare de Déu de la Mercè, festa major de Barcelona).

Ticket Sales

Tickets may be purchased from Museum ticket offices up to 30 minutes before the halls close.
